Not only do they have the same name and they look alike physically, being anthropomorphic foxes with red fur and with some golden teeth, but they also reside in caves with white signs at the entrance, Foxy Loxy adding them at the end of the short to fool the chickens.
His design is very similar to Foxy Loxy, from the Disney 1943 animated short Chicken Little, and it's very likely that it was a source of inspiration to make Foxy.
